About the Workshop
As one of the major cultural institutions of the city of Mumbai, we are embarking on a unique journey to rediscover our relationship with the city. In this endeavor, we have collaborated with the Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute, Harvard University for a workshop on ‘Museums and the City’ to shape ideas that can help us understand where museums will head in the future. Spread over two days (24–26 September 2019), we will talk about models of partnership in the museum sector, programming and presentation in museums today, museum governance and patronage, museums and the city, the future of conservation and museums as cultural infrastructure.
Who can attend?
The workshop is open for museum and culture professionals, architects and designers, historians, archaeologists, cultural practitioners, artists and art enthusiasts, students and urban planners.
