A concert of monsoon melodies to be presented by Kalapini Komakali
In collaboration with the Museum Society of Mumbai
Since 2008, the Museum has been organising a programme of Hindustani classical music of monsoon melodies, ‘Badarawa Barasan Ko Aye’, every year and so far, we have invited artistes like Pt. Kedar Bodas, Ustd. Raja Miyan, Pt. Ram Deshpande, Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, Smt. Nisha Parasnis, Smt. Munjasha Patil, Smt. Apoorva Gokhale, Pt. Omkar Dadarkar, and Pt. Raja Kale to perform at the CSMVS.
About the artiste:
Endowed with a wholly original, melodious and rich voice, Kalapini Komkali is well-trained and widely recognised as one of the finest classical vocalists of the younger generation. She is daughter and disciple of Pt. Kumar Gandharva and also has been trained by her illustrious mother, Vidushi Vasundhara Komkali.
